Tax Redirection
A Free & Effortless Way For AZ Taxpayers To Help Individuals In Need book a consultationdwa foundationArizona taxpayers, did you know that instead of paying the Arizona state government what you owe/withheld in income taxes, you could instead redirect what you owe/withheld to the DWA Foundation to help individuals in need such as children battling cancer and in the foster care system.
Tax redirection allows Arizona taxpayers to allocate a portion or all of their state taxes directly to a Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO) instead of the state government. By taking advantage of Arizona’s charitable tax credit, taxpayers can increase their refund or reduce the amount of taxes owed.
Traditionally, taxpayers would make an upfront donation to a QCO, claim the charitable tax credit, and apply it to their Arizona state tax return at a later date.
We’ve simplified the process. With our approach, Arizona taxpayers no longer need to come out of pocket and make an upfront donation. Instead, the tax credit is applied directly on their state tax return first. The additional funds generated by the tax credit are then transferred to the DWA Foundation to support individuals in need.
Example: If a client is entitled to a $1,000 state tax refund, we apply a $400 charitable tax credit directly on the return. This increases the refund to $1,400. The additional $400 from the tax credit is then transferred to the DWA Foundation, while the client’s original $1,000 refund remains completely intact.
